Complaints Procedure

The National Register of Chiropractors Foundation (SNRC) is committed to the continuous quality improvement of chiropractic in the Netherlands. The National Register is an independent organization that provides ongoing quality control of Dutch chiropractors.

Chiropractors who have completed an education recognized by the International Council of Chiropractic Education (ICCE) and are affiliated with one of the Dutch professional organizations (DCF, NCA or CCA) can register as a Registered Chiropractor with the National Register of Chiropractors.

The National Register conducts periodic quality checks. If a chiropractor meets the quality requirements, approval to use the quality mark and the title Registered Chiropractor is granted for a maximum period of five years.

During the quality assessment, compliance with the professional standard, including continuing education and training, and compliance with the internal regulations are checked.

In addition, the National Register, through the advisory committee, serves as a platform for consultation between all parties involved: insurers, patients, professional organizations and the government.

Quality of Care

In our practice, quality of care is paramount. From the moment we opened our doors, we have focused not only on providing good care but also on continuously improving it. This pursuit of excellence is a continuous process within our practice.

Certified Chiropractors

All our chiropractors have completed training at an institution recognized by the International Council on Chiropractic Education (ICCE). Furthermore, they are affiliated with one of the Dutch professional organizations (DCF, NCA, or CCA). This dual qualification enables them to register as a Registered Chiropractor with the National Register of Chiropractors.

Continuing Education and Training

To ensure the quality of our care, we adhere to the quality standards of the National Register. Our approach is deliberate and systematic. Our chiropractors regularly attend continuing education and training courses to stay abreast of the latest treatment methods and developments in the field.

Evaluation of Patient Care and Procedures

We believe it is essential to look beyond current professional knowledge. The atmosphere in our practice, the interaction with patients, and our administrative procedures are constantly evaluated and improved.

Periodic Audits and Certification

The National Register conducts regular quality audits at our practice. These audits not only verify compliance with formal requirements, such as adherence to internal regulations, but also assess whether we apply the professional standard in our daily practice.

Here you can find the professional standard

As long as we meet these criteria, we retain the title of Registered Chiropractor and the associated quality mark. This recognition is valid for a maximum of five years, after which a reassessment takes place.

Collaboration for Optimal Care

Ensuring quality is a collaborative effort. In the advisory committee of the National Register, we work together with insurers, patients, professional organizations, and the government.

This close collaboration contributes to raising the quality of chiropractic care throughout the Netherlands. Each participant brings their own expertise, allowing us to continue improving from both practical experience and policy and patient perspectives.

Continuous Improvement of Our Care

In our practice, quality care is not a one-time check but an ongoing process. We organize regular internal consultations to discuss successes and identify areas for improvement.

Thanks to this structural focus on learning and improvement, and the direct contact with the National Register of Chiropractors, we can assure you of the best possible care.

Privacy Statement

Data Processing

In our practice, we process only the personal data necessary for providing our chiropractic services. This includes your personal details (name, address, place of residence), contact information (telephone number, email address), your citizen service number (BSN), and your medical information relevant to your treatment.

Purpose of Data Processing

Our primary goal is to provide the best possible chiropractic care. Under the Medical Treatment Agreement Act (WGBO), we are legally obliged to create and maintain a medical record. Based on the Healthcare Personal Data Processing (Additional Provisions) Act, we are required to verify your identity and use your BSN in your record.

Your Rights as a Patient

As a patient, you have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority and the National Register of Chiropractors Foundation. You also have the right to access your medical record and can request all registered data, as legally stipulated. If you wish to make changes to your data, we will record this in the file. The right to delete your data can be exercised, provided this does not conflict with our legal obligations. Your file is kept for 15 years, and longer only if necessary according to the WGBO.

Security Measures

We have taken appropriate organizational and technical measures to secure your personal data and ensure that your data is stored safely with us.

Intake and Initial Treatment

During the intake and initial treatment, we assess your pain complaints. We determine the nature, duration, and intensity of your symptoms.

You will receive an explanation of the six zones of your body and which zones play a crucial role in reducing your complaints. Following this, you will receive your first treatment.

After the treatment, we will create a treatment plan together with you, including the frequency of follow-up treatments.

Phase 1: Symptom Reduction

In this first phase of the treatment program, you will visit us frequently for short, intensive treatments. Our goal is to alleviate your symptoms as quickly as possible. We regularly evaluate your progress and adjust the treatment plan if necessary.

Phase 2: Stabilization

Now that your symptoms have decreased, we will reduce the frequency of your visits and focus on stabilizing your spine and nervous system. This reduces the chance of recurring problems and complaints.

In addition, we will begin self-care advice, where you will learn how to move correctly in your daily life and perform light, simple exercises to keep your body pain-free.

Phase 3: Wellness

Do you find it pleasant to continue coming for maintenance treatments after the intensive treatment period?
